Cranial / Central Nervous System Anatomy

 With Ursula Hofer

This class offers a blend of learning from the inside using different approaches like tuning into our own bodies, drawing and tracing.  Learning from the outside we will examine pictures and slides with descriptions of the anatomy and physiology. These slides will also be provided as PDFs.

We will learn:

  • How to connect and trace the venous sinuses and the venous flow in the spine

  • How to trace the different pathways of communication in the central nervous system

  • How to connect with the cranial ventricles and track their flow

  • About the function of the glia as an integral part of the human nervous system

  • To feel the different meninges in the cranium and the spine, different pulls in them and how they relate to the body as a whole

  • To feel the different cranial bones from the inside, their mobility or lack of it

  • To identify and find the different glands located in the cranium in relationship to the bones

  • To feel the relationship between the cranium and the pelvis

  • About different structures in the spine like: Cauda Equina, Filum Terminal and Conus Medullaris, Central Canal and how they affect the cranium and the central nervous system

    Next Class date TBA.

Three-Dimensional Neurological Drawing

When we get stuck in a pattern be it emotional, physical, mental or spiritual, the stuckness is often an expression of a disconnection in the physiology. An area of the body is isolated and we find there is no communication or a lack of communication between different areas.

We might have an experience of looping in our mind, not being able to be in our bodies, looping in an emotional pattern, feeling isolated and/or disconnected.

Three-dimensional neurological drawing is based on the premise that drawing with both hands, moving our hands in the different dimensions, helps the nervous system reconnect and  reestablish its communication, thus helping us shift patterns.

Small classes will meet once a week for 4 weeks.
Each class will be 1.5 - 2 hours.

Classes will start Monday, May 2nd 2022 from 10:30 am to 12pm.
Class size limited.
